Learning English – Level A2
Hey there! Welcome to Shared Looking Glasses — your little corner of calm… and English learning.
Today, I’m telling you about my daily routine. But not the boring kind, the kind that even a cat would fall asleep to.
Nope, we’re adding music, a little philosophy, and maybe a tiny bit of crazy. Because who said learning English can’t be fun?
1. MORNING VIBES
So, I wake up at 7 a.m.
And my alarm? Not a beep-beep beep…
I like to wake up with “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles.
It’s like a musical hug saying, “Hey, today might be okay.”
You know, George Harrison once said, “Here comes the sun, and I say, it’s all right.”
And honestly? Some mornings, that’s all the philosophy I need.
2. COFFEE & POETRY
Next, I drink my coffee. Strong, black — no sugar, no nonsense.
While sipping, I read a poem by Rumi:
“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.”
I like to think that includes coffee and English — probably not in that order though.
3. WORK MODE (BUT NOT TOO SERIOUS)
Then, I start working from home.
I answer emails, solve problems, and try not to get distracted by my cat (who is very talented at that).
Around noon, I take a break and play “Imagine” by John Lennon.
Because if I can imagine a better day, maybe it’s a step closer to living it.
4. EVENING CHILL
Evening is for chilling.
Maybe a walk, some light yoga, or just staring at the ceiling pretending I’m meditating.
Sometimes I listen to Chopin or smooth jazz — perfect for pretending I’m in a classy movie. And yes, I sometimes talk to my plants. They don’t reply, but that’s probably for the best.
5. YOUR TURN!
So, now I want to hear from you.
What’s your daily routine like?
Got a favorite song to wake up to? Or a poem that makes you think?
Share your story in the comments.
Let’s practice English — and maybe even inspire each other.
6. PRACTICE TIME
Now, some useful sentences for your daily chat:
Repeat after me:
- I wake up at 7 a.m.
- I listen to Here Comes the Sun in the morning.
- I drink coffee and read poetry.
- I work from home.
- I listen to Imagine at noon.
- I relax with music in the evening.
Thanks for hanging out!
Remember: Your routine might seem small, but it’s your story — your English story.
And hey — if The Beatles, Rumi, or a lazy cat helped you learn a new word today, I call that a win.
See you next time on Shared Looking Glasses.
Bye-bye!
